3 Steps To Getting The Results You Want!

Are you getting the results you desire in your business and in your life?  If the answer is no…the answer may lie deep inside of you!

It all starts with a thought!

If you constantly beat yourself up and/or generate negative thoughts, how can you expect positive outcomes?  We have a tendency to dismiss the positive and dwell on the negative.  As a result, your business suffers because  you are not in a place to receive.  Negativity rejects positivity.  If you desire positive results, then you must think positive thoughts.  Here are 3 simple steps to getting the results you crave:

  1. Be Congruent –  You must be in alignment! Your self-esteem, belief and desire must be in sync.  This gives you power, without this, you are powerless to create the results you desire.
  2. Create a Dream  Team – Your dream team should consist of people who have achieved the success you desire, people who are smarter than you as well as those who support you.  They would hold you accountable to your goals and be in your corner every step of the way.
  3. Write it Down! – Goals need to be written down and placed in an area that you can see them each and every day.  Whatever results you desire, make sure that you record it.  It needs to be tangible, if it’s not, then it won’t seem real and the less likely you are of achieving it.

We succeed or fail even before we begin.  A made up mind is necessary to achieving the results we desire.  Creating positive thoughts is essential to positive and productive outcomes.  So remember, be congruent! No one has ever succeeded without having the belief, the desire and the self-esteem they need to make it happen.  Create your dream team, there is power in synergy!  Leverage the resources of others to help you reach your goals.  Finally, write it down!  If you don’t have a visible reminder of your goal, then the less likely you are to acheive it.

To Your Success!

How Home-Based Business Entrepreneurs Think

Too many people are trying to start their home businesses with an ordinary employee’s way of thinking. This has become a common reason why not long after sitting down and giving it a fair look into even the most lucrative business opportunity they bump into, they put it away and decide not to take any chances.

What has happened here is that the most lucrative business opportunity has been looked into by an ordinary 9-to-5-worker, who appears NOT to be business-minded.

If you are like most people, you have probably considered starting your own business yourself. But above all, you have to understand that to make into a successful Business Entrepreneur, one has to change their way of thinking first.

1. DO NOT EXPECT FAST CASH!

Besides gambling or winning a lottery, working as an employee is the only way to get ‘fast’ cash… ‘fast’ as in ‘in-25-working-days’. This kind of cash is always certain to come in as long as you work from 9 to 5 for your boss. But as you probably already know it, as soon as you stop, the money stops. (See FinancialFreedomAwaits.com).

True entrepreneurship-minded people know that it takes time to develop an ‘attack plan’ for their businesses. It takes time to build a strong and solid business, which delivers ongoing income through many years.

True Business Entrepreneurs hold on to this truth, ‘We reap what we sow, but the harvest is never in the same season as the planting.’

Change your way of thinking:

DO NOT EXPECT FAST CASH!

2. AIM FOR JOB SECURITY OR FINANCIAL SECURITY?

Employees would rather have job-security. Why? Simple: the income is secure. As long as you loyally work from 9 to 5, you will for certain get your cash! The problem with a typical job is that when you stop, the money stops.

The stark fact is: one day you might get sick and won’t be able to go back to work. Sooner or later you will retire. Companies get broke and have to release their employees. No matter what the situation, as soon as you stop working, the money will stop coming.

So much for secure income…!

A job with secure income is necessary for those who has not set up their own business yet. True. But a true Business Entrepreneur won’t settle merely for job-security. He aims for much more, such as financial security. No, he won’t have fast cash. And no, he won’t have any secure income yet – at least not in the beginning. And often, he won’t have any income at all from his new business for the first few months.

Business entrepreneurs think of the big picture. What they do is building assets from which his money will come in month after month, year after year from work he is doing now! The money will not come now. It might not even come for the next few months. But as soon as his business is up and running, it will keep generating income for him, even when he chooses to stop working!

And THAT is financial security!

Change your way of thinking:

THINK OF THE BIG PICTURE: AIM FOR FINANCIAL SECURITY!

3. GENERATE PASSIVE INCOME

Financial freedom is not measured by how much money you earn by working, but how much money comes in with only little or no work at all. This later kind of income is called passive income. This fact has been known for decades by real wealthy people.

Successful and wealthy entrepreneurs do only little work and sometimes it is even possible to do the work only once but still generate recurring income on it. Imagine a song or a book writer. They write their songs or books once but get paid forever on it. This do-it-once-get-paid-forever type of income is called residual income.

Most people who have attained financial freedom have other people working to generate income for them. Earning money by other people’s effort is called leveraged income.

As hard as it may seem, to create leveraged income, you need to have your own business where other people work to generate income for you. Any business. Whether it is a traditional business, franchise, small business, internet based or home based.

Employees work to generate secure income. Business Entrepreneurs work to build assets with income streams which generates for him ongoing passive income (either residual or leverage income or both). In other words Business Entrepreneurs work to build himself -what I would call- a ‘money-machine’ which is designed to generate ongoing income.

Whereas the Employee can not stop working because otherwise he will lose his income, the Business Entrepreneur will have money coming in constantly, even when he chooses not to work, simply because it is his assets that generate residual and leverage income for him.

Change your way of thinking:

TAP INTO PASSIVE INCOME BY GENERATING RESIDUAL & LEVERAGED INCOME!

4. INVESTMENTS

It is common for people who seek job security to hesitate to invest. The reason is understandable: for some of us the risks of investing in a business are just too much to handle.

A true Business Entrepreneur understands that in order to build -what I would call- a ‘money-machine’, investments are necessary. There is just no such things as businesses without investments. He knows that it takes time and effort to develop a successful business. But he also knows that investing money is just as important!

Sometimes it takes the Business Entrepreneur a year or two before he can finally reap the big success. Sometimes even a bit more. It takes a couple of years of investing time, effort and money. But this is not too hard for him to handle. A true Entrepreneur thinks long term. He knows that in the end, his working and money investing will finally pay off!

A Home Based Business Entrepreneur would only have to invest just 5-10 hours a week for a couple of years and he would only have to make low budget investments into his home based business. And at the end of the time of working and investing, our Entrepreneur would have turned it into a significant amount of residual income stream!

I’m not talking about money that comes in today and is gone tomorrow but income that keeps coming in month after month, year after year… money that -as Gery Carson has put it- ‘when you’ve left this planet continues to provide for your spouse, children, or grandchildren.’

By then you would think that all your valuable time and money you have spent would be worth it.

Commonly an ordinary employee, who fears too much to invest, works hard to receive his pay check every month. Most likely he even retires broke. Before he knows it, he leaves the planet with nothing to leave for his family.

A true Business Entrepreneur is prepared to invest. He knows by investing in his business he is building assets that would generate passive and residual income for him throughout his years on this planet and the years of his grandchildren.

Change your way of thinking: THINK LONG TERM: START INVESTING!

Holiday Marketing Success Boot Camp…Had To Spill The Beans

So, while I am still working out the details of the Holiday Marketing Boot Camp, I couldn’t wait to spill the beans on my topic.  Spooktastic Marketing (hint, hint…it’s about Halloween Marketing Tips, Tricks and Treats).

Halloween is such an overlooked holiday and even misunderstood.  But the savvy business owner should position herself to take advantage of the season.  So, I am offering 25 DIY (Do-It-Yourself) tips, tricks and treats that a solopreneur can use to maximize visibility during HalloweenI figured 25 is a good start, and who knows I may do more depending on how much time I have.  After all, one doesn’t need a million strategies…just one or two good ones executed very well.

Funny How Time Flies…

I haven’t posted to this site since lat Feb! Shame on me! What have I been doing you ask?  Well, lots of things!  I am revamping, refocusing and rebuilding.  To be honest, I got so lost in the shuffle of what I should be doing, it became overwhelming  quickly. I lost sight of my passion and my purpose.  There is so much out there that it’s impossible to do everything…and when you try to do it all, especially when it doesn’t align with your vision one becomes easily burnt out.

So while I was figuring this all out, time flew.  I was semi-aware of how much time lapsed.  But the process I was going through had to occur, I couldn’t rush it or I wouldn’t have been able to achieve clarity in what needed to be done next.  I’m still shaking off some dust, so pardon me while I tidy things up a bit.  But here are some major changes:

  1. Synergi Group, LLC, the parent company of Brand University no longer exists.  Synergi Group’s purpose was to be a massive collaboration so that every business could succeed through knowledge and information sharing.   It worked! Many people made phenomenal connections!  I expended a great deal of time and effort and in everything there is a purpose and Synergi Group’s purpose came and was fulfilled.
  2. Brand University still stands.  I believe this conference has been and will continue to be a great benefit to everyone involved.  The focus is on getting real results by providing tangible information and resources that business owners can put into action immediately.
  3. A movement towards authentic business.  I have come to the realization that everyone doesn’t want a multi-national conglomerate.  Some of us are just fine with a small business and don’t need to grow, grow, grow until they pop.  We all have a different definition of success, different priorities and different things we want out of life.  What may be great for one entrepreneur, may not be for another.  I have grown to understand these differences and respond accordingly.
  4. Speaking of “success” I have grown tired of hearing that word just thrown around.  There are so many coaches, mentors, consultants, etc.. out there my head is spinning.  There’s just so much clutter now out there, that its very hard to know the forest from the trees.  My promise is to always provide quality content, no filler, no fluff.  My goal is to give readers, workshop and conference participants actionable, tangible information that they can use in their business immediately.

There’s more to come and the clean up is still a work in progress.  BUT, the great news is the Holiday Marketing Boot camp, to get businesses in tip-top shape for their holiday marketing campaigns…stay tuned for details!

Don’t Do This!

Don’t mix your personal and business phones.  If you have one number, make sure only you (or an assistant) answers.  The worse thing is for a client to call you and a child answers, there is an unprofessional answering machine or you pick up saying “hello”.  If you are in business, act like it!  Invest in your business and in your brand.  Go the extra step to seperate your lines or simply be sure to be on point at all times.  You (and your customers) will be glad you did!

3 Ways To Increase Your Brand IQ In 3 Minutes

What is a brand?  Depending on who you ask, the answer may vary.  A web design company may tell you that a brand is your logo and website.  Others may say it is the adjectives a customer or potential customers use to describe your product or service.  A brand is all of these things and more.

A brand is an experience,  it is the experience that others encounter when they come into contact with your business.  It includes your online presence, the service and professionalism put forth by you and those who represent your company and it is the quality of your communications.

Here are 3 ways to increase your Brand IQ In Minutes:

  • Understand that you have the power and ability to increase (or decrease) your brand image every second of the day.  Before you answer the phone, or meet with that next customer consciously think about what image you want to put forth. If you are in the bad mood and your business is making people happy, don’t answer the phone or meet with anyone while your mood is negatively impaired.  Be and act like what you want people to think of when they think of you. Make sure your online and offline presence is consistent.  Ensure your people match and project the company image.
  • Take Inventory Of Your Points of Entry. Your points of entry are all those places where others come in contact with your business.  Your phone message, business cards, website, staff, etc… Evaluate your points of entry and make any necessary adjustments so as not to make any poor first impressions.
  • Tell People Who You Are! An easy way to build brand knowledge and awareness is simply to tell people who you are and what you stand for.  If your business is fun, quirky and creative, then let folks know!  If your business is poised, refined and conservative then say so.  And then make sure the rest of your brand image matches what you say.  No Say-Do Gaps!

Remember, it’s not knowledge that is power…it’s applied knowledge that is power.  Apply this knowledge to your business right now and increase your Brand IQ!
